The experience
Mesa Franca opened in 2016 in a corner house in Chapinero, the project of chef Iván Cadena, sommelier María Paula Amador and bartender Tom Hydzik. It later moved to its current restored house at Calle 61 with Carrera 5. The kitchen works with more than twenty local producers and uses wood fire as its central technique, with a menu that changes with the seasons. Plates are designed for sharing and the bar is a strong point, with cocktails built on local ingredients. The setting is relaxed and social, with a covered patio.
